A Bit About Me

Hi, my name is Kendyl and I am an art therapist. I have a passion for walking with people on their therapeutic journeys. I value being an empathetic listener and strive to be someone that others can be their authentic selves with. I try to meet my clients with compassion and nonjudgmental, positive regard. I specialize in art therapy and use creativity within my psychotherapy practice. I have experience working with clients struggling with the following:

Worked in Bangkok, Thailand alongside an anti trafficking organization focusing on providing restorative services to survivors of trafficking. 

Worked in Kathmandu, Nepal alongside anti trafficking organizations and safe homes, providing therapeutic art groups and developed therapeutic programs for survivors of abuse and exploitation.

Worked with Reclaim 13 as a house counselor and therapeutic art instructor for survivors of abuse and exploitation. 

Developed Muze, a community art studio in Chicago, IL, that focused on using the arts to help individuals find healing. 

Wrote therapeutic art curriculum "The Art Therapy Way: A Self-Care Guide"

Completed clinical art therapy practicum through reclaim 13, providing counseling services to individuals within the foster care service, survivors of abuse and exploitation, and trauma services. Graduated from Adler University and received ATR-P.

Led intensive therapeutic art and trauma trainings in Morocco for anti trafficking organization. Helped develop a therapeutic art program.

Started providing art therapy services to various organization in the Chicago land area through her community art studio, Muze. Started Pursuing Doctorate in Art Therapy.
